On July 17, 2004, we lost our beautiful, wonderful angel, Gemini, to lymphoma. She was 11 years old and was the baby of our family.
Gemini came to us as a happy puppy from a farm. We all instantly adored her and she grew up with lots of kids and a kitty as playmates. I (her human mom) had many serious health problems and throughout difficult years of illness, she was my constant companion and never left my side. She seemed to know when I felt ill or sad. She was sensitive to me and always there for me with her soft fur to pet and those huge gorgeous eyes.
We became very bonded and although she was the family dog, she was very much my girl. When I was well enough, we took long walks on wooded trails, worked in the yard and enjoyed sitting on the porch together.
She adored all creatures. She loved and protected her kitty who was her close companion. She allowed the little cat to groom her big face and ears. She also loved all the children in our neighborhood. Once everyone realized that the big black German Shepherd was really a sweetheart, she became a neighborhood favorite. Children even came to our door to ask if Gemini could come out and play!
She never barked, growled, or threatened anyone. She was always sweet and happy to see all people and animals. She was an angel in a dog’s body who bought tremendous joy, love, and comfort to our family. We will love and
miss her always.
Love to our dear little girl, Gemini,
