Our dear sweet girl came into our lives 12 years ago. As a very young and tiny puppy, we had to wean her ourselves with baby food. She was our first dog and we were so conserned when she could not hold down dog food. We walked down to the nearest vet and they told us she was too young to be away from her mother and siblings and that we would need to treat her as if we were her mother and father. She slept with us in the den and she rapidly became more than a dog to us. It made all the difference in the world. Her understanding gentle nature were uncanny.
She soon grew to a beautiful 100 pound angel.
Her size never seemed to intimidate even the youngest children and they would embrace her without a care.Everyone who met “The Gert” fell instantly in love.Our pack now has a missing member and our grief is almost too much to bear. To our dear one, much love. You will always be in our hearts. I hope you know we tried to do the right thing for you. We miss you little one.
