Dog

We brought Ginger home when she was barely five weeks old.

She was so small she could sit in the palm of my hand but grew

into a 30+ pound dog.

She would roam the neighborhood and bring pots pans rugs pastries

and other things home in her younger days. She also hated UPS trucks.

She would go round and round in circles and then take off up the

street after them. She always chased them from yards

never on the street.

As she got older she started slowing down. For the past several years

we would wonder if she would survive the winter but she always did.

She loved her doghouse with straw in it. Being part Spitz she seemed to

like the winter.

However arthritis caught up with her this past summer.

I made the decision to put her to sleep in August as she was nearing 17

and couldn’t survive the winter.

Her age had overtaken her. That was the hardest decision I think I’ve ever made.

However I knew it was best for Ginger.

We shared both good and bad times and I have many

pictures to keep her memory alive.

The story of the Rainbow Bridge is very nice.

Ginger I loved you very much. Wait for me this side

of the Rainbow Bridge.

Love,

Dana
