There are so many memories of what made you such a wonderful and majestic dog our dearest Gordi – so many great times that we all had over the years. I sit here writing your tribute page as a kaleidoscope of certain events move across my mind. Like the first time I bought you to the house at seven weeks old. You woke up with us in bed and walked and peed on my feet first thing in the morning. I guess we had to keep you after that, what you did was so funny.
In a short time, you grew from a chubby little puppy with bent ears into a big, beautiful and very smart girl – the smartest dog I have ever owned. You enjoyed your walks and times at Telge Park chasing squirrels. Although you didn’t like baths you loved being blow dried with the leaf blower. When you played and chased your brothers you would stop and do the “Texas Tornado.” You were such a character. You loved to go on road trips with us out of town and liked meeting and greeting people and then becoming aloof and walking away. You were such a good sister to your two younger brothers, always mothering on them even though they got on your nerves once in awhile. We loved giving you toys and treats at Christmas. You would play with them until one of your brothers would take them and you always let them. We love you “momma.”
It’s hard to believe that you’re gone. You were the first one we got and the last one to leave. There are so many great memories that you have left for me, and your Daddy Jim, and we always cherish those memories of you, and your brothers, Beamer and Tank, who were waiting for you and are now with. I can see all of you three running around and playing, all young and whole. Thanks our little girl, thanks for being with us and giving us joy and happiness.
Love always,
| Gordi |
