Together for 8 years, we had such a rough time for the first 4 years – you with your aggressive, domineering attitude and my frustration, and sometimes anger, at your erratic behavior. However, during the last few years, your temperament mellowed and we developed a deep bond of understanding, friendship, & love. You taught me so much, my long-haired white beauty. The last month of your life, at age 11, we both struggled to cope with your aggressive mouth cancer. You live on in my heart, dear Harmony, and I am so grateful that you came to share your life with me. You succeeded in deepening my compassion and awareness of the unique being-ness of all life forms.
