Holly BooBoo Bear by Pat Reynolds / Pat
(and sisters Stormy and Trixie)

Holly came into my life at 5 months old, just a sweet little yorkie puppy. As her personality developed, I realized that I did not own Holly, but she owned me. She was loving and obstinate at the same time. She had her own way of doing things. I loved her more each and every day. Although she started out as a show dog, she soon let me know that was not what she wanted to be — and then became the one who always slept with her little body against mine.

She brought me so much joy and was the one friend in life who never let me down and who was always there. I could have never given her as much as she gave to me. Her love was without limit, undivided, and endless.

When she developed chronic kidney failure, she fought it valiantly — never a complaint about her doctor, whom she always had a kiss for. She knew that we were only trying to help her. She lived a long life, 16 1/2 years, but still not enough. There is never enough time
to share with your best friend.

Her last morning she woke up gasping for breath, but she still had the energy and the love to give me one last kiss before her last breath. Holly, you shall not be forgotten and you will be a part of my heart forever. You are my little BooBoo Bear. I love you more than life itself. You will always be a part of me and no other shall replace you. I’ll see you at the Bridge–please don’t forget me.

My unending love to the love of my life,
Holly BooBoo Bear
