Thank you for the days
We spent almost 17 years together. I loved you
and adored you, and I was your special servant.
I don’t know what you felt for me, but I think it
was something very much like love.
Oh, how you loved sleeping on my chest, and how
you hated it when I tried to read a book or newspaper.
You were a fearsome cat, the king of the street we
live in. Everyone knew you. They respected you and
didn’t even mind when you sunk your teeth into them.
Honey, I miss you more than words can say.
My beautiful darling cat, I thank you for the days,
those endless sacred days….of June 2006.
