Icee by Susan Egolf / Mom & Dad

It was the coldest day of the year when I rescued you. You had one of your ears frostbitten and that became your signature. You were with me through thick and thin and I shall never forget. You kept Grandma company when Grandpa was gone. I don’t know who walked faster, you or Grandma. I never had to worry about rodents in the house. You were the best mouser I ever had. When I told you that it was OK if you were ready to leave, I never dreamed that you were that close to leaving me. But I know that you are in a better place. Tell Sam and Lulu that we still miss them. I hope that you are at peace. I miss you so much.

Peace & Faith,
Icee
