Our Dearest Indi:
Twelve years and 8 months ago, I found you on the streets of New York City. I bought you from a homeless man for $20. You have given me the best 12 years of love, friendship, companionship and loyalty. You were part of the family from the very first day I took you home.
Although you lost your mother that day, you found me. I have been your mother ever since then and will continue that role for the rest of time. We have had so much fun in the past 12 years. We were the best team out there. People even said that we looked alike.
Everything was going so well. You seemed to be perfectly fine. On Monday, December 13, 2004, you were up and about, barking outside. At dinner, we gave you chicken and even some flounder. You loved it. Then a few hours later, you could not walk and were having trouble breathing. I took you in to the emergency veterinarian. I thought maybe flounder did not agree with you. But that was not the case. You had Hermangio Sarcoma which suddenly caused internal bleeding and caused your body to go into shock. You died naturally on the X-ray table.
We are happy that you did not suffer. We just wish that we had more time to say good-bye. We never got that chance because we did not realize what was happening. How could you pass away when you seemed so healthy and full of life?
We love you and miss you so much. We are so sad without you. Everything reminds us of you and your sweetness. We know your soul is out there. We feel you around us. We hope that you know we will all be together again one day. Until then, rest and take care of yourself. We know that you have found Katie and Ashley. They can teach you
what to do up there.
We love you more than you can imagine.
