My dear, loving, little blue-eyed scamp, always busy, always up to something, always ready for play or affection (or a treat!). How I miss you and the happy times we spent together playing your favorite game of fetch; how I remember you mooching tidbits at the table, and how you would come running with that eager look on your little face when you were called, or even if you heard your name mentioned in another room; and the way you would so often follow me around the house, always ready to jump into my arms from the floor.
When I think of you, I see your dearly beloved, beautiful little face, with its smart-alec expression and gorgeous blue eyes with the white liner all the way around them. Cruel cancer separated us when you were still so young. It is hell here without you; it would be heaven to be with you again.
Hopefully that Rainbow Bridge really does exist, and we can again be together in that much Better Place. Know that you will ever purr softly in the lap of my memory, dear, darling little Jasper, until that time – until that time . . . .
May God grant it so.
Amen.
I will never forget you, darling Jasper!
