KAYLA by Suzanne Schultz / MAMA

Kayla I see you everywhere.I find myself yelling at you to come to bed. You were almost deaf so I had to yell. I miss tripping over you in the hall. Or running full speed down the hall to my room so I could get there and back in the living room before you could follow me. I miss not having my little bathroom buddie.

I never did understand why you loved going to the bathroom with me so. Every time I took a shower you were there to lick me dry. I miss your bark although I had not heard you bark in over a year I still miss it. I miss the way your whole little body would come off the floor every time you barked. I miss the way you loved to ride on Dad’s shoulder in the truck. I miss the way you would take that little paw and wave at us when you wanted what we were eating. There is so much I miss about you. Grandma misses you to. Joey want talk about it to me. He turned 23 the other day. Seems just like yesterday he was 7 and I was getting you for him. Elizabeth cried some. She is 25 now. She said she was going to make me something special with a picture you.
Kayla I miss you so much I just want to see you again. My head knows I did the right thing but my heart is breaking.

Go have fun with CoCo it want be long till we are all together again. I hope you will be ready for a very long game of “pull the chin hairs”.

ALL MY LOVE TILL WE MEET AGAIN,
KAYLA
