Koko by Paul / Daddy Paul

We had a lot of fun together, you and me.

We went for walks, to the park, and for rides in the car.

We swam, and shared ice cream cones.

We played catch and fetch.

It seemed like you always knew when I was down and would come and let me know that you were there for me.

No one could believe that I would fill up the tub and leave you to soak unattended for 20 minutes. You sure did love to get a bath!

I will never forget how you would bark your discontent with the broom, mop, vacuum, mailman, UPS driver, and schoolbus. I will also never forget your fear of street drains, and rain storms. I tried to be there for you when the storms would come but sometimes you seemed unconsolable.

We got through our tough times and shared a lot of happiness together.

But when your health was failing I didn’t want
you to suffer because I knew you wouldn’t have let me suffer if it were me and it were your choice to make.

You deserved the best, Baby Koko, and I wanted to see that you could leave this earth with dignity and
as peacefully as possible.

It’s been 6 months and I still miss you.

Be a good girl while I’m away. I know you will be waiting for me on the ‘other side’.

I love and miss you, Baby Koko...
