On February 27th, 2009, my life changed forever…I saw you sitting there behind those bars, looking up at me with those beautiful brown eyes. I knew right then that I had to bring you home and help nourish you back to health. I fell in love with you instantly. You were the sweetest, gentlest, most loving, beautiful girl. I never dreamed the day would come so soon that I’d have to let you go. But I loved you too much to let you suffer anymore. I would do anything to have you back with us. Our family will never be the same. But we go on and seek comfort in knowing that you are at peace, and no longer feeling pain. I imagine you running and playing in Heaven. Something you were no longer able to do here on Earth. I miss you sweet girl, and I’ll see you again someday.
