On Friday November 6 1998 I had to make the
very difficult decision to have my beloved Lacey put down.
She had waged a valiant 1.5 year battle with breast cancer.
The cancer had spread to her lungs and before it got too
debilitating I chose to end her suffering.
She was so precious to me. She was sweet and elegant.
I will always remember how she loved to snuggle with me
and how each night she waited to receive her treats.
We had such a special bond because I had to work so hard to
win her over. She was so guarded at first so shy and reserved.
Yet she grew to be so loving and devoted.
I had the great honor and privilege of loving and caring for Lacey
for almost 15 years. I would never trade the memories for anything.
I was truly blessed.
The void is immense and the pain is great but I was so lucky.
I pray that there is a Heaven because I want so much to
meet up with her again.
God has another Angel with him now and I miss her so.
I LOVE YOU LITTLE LACEY LADY !!!
