Lady,
We were only together for a short time. You came into my life in April of 1988 when I was only 11. You were a gift from my father soon after my parents got divorced. Not only were you the first dog I ever owned but you stole my heart. Unfortnately, one day after school , I went down to my fathers house just to see that he was going to give you away to a member of his new wifes family. My heart was broken and still remains so today 16 years after your birth. In someway I felt I failed you although there was not much a kid could’ve done. I had seen you a few years later and knew that you had a good life which was good to know but still you werent with me. Lady, where ever you are, I hope you know how much I loved you and you will always be my first true love.
