Lance by Chris and Terri Martin / Daddy and Mommy

We remember bringing you home as a small puppy and watching you grow with through awkwardness until you reached your full size. Barking and woofing when you knew you were not supposed to.

You were stronger than anyone or any animal we’ve ever known–living through parvo and recovering wonderfully from hip replacement surgery. Even the final 4 months you pushed on as if nothing was going to stop you from living.

We picked the clouds background because we know you loved being upside and looking upward at the sky and for the belly rubs too. Even on the day you had to leave us you flipped upside one more time just to show your strength and love. Your spirit never died and I was proud of you especially during the final moments. You knew the vet was there to help you and you were such a good boy even when you were dying in our arms.

We know you are watching over us and Shadow although not showing it, misses you too. We know you are protecting her and teaching her as you were so good at doing.

“You’re a good boy, Lancers” and we will always remember you and look forward to seeing you and God one day. There is so much more we could say, but only one thing says it all–We love you!

Love Always,
Lance
