Little Joe Chupka by Colleen and Bryant Chupka / Momie,Dadie, and everyone else who knew Joey… t

Little Joe,
Your footsteps pit pat.
In the hallway of my mind,
This kiss of air,
Whisper soft purr,
I hear the echoes of your purr,
See you bouncing
Shadow everywhere
And smile through my tears

He Is (4)

This is all he is to us
When we are blind
He is our eyes
When we are silent
He is our voice
When we are sad
He is there to make us smile
When we are scared
He is there to protect us
When we are in trouble
He is there to save us
When we are crying
He is there to dry our tears
When we are lost
He is there to find us
When we are traveling in life
He is there to catch us if we fall
When we feel like the whole world hates us
He is there to say he loves us
When we are lonely
He is there to keep us company
When we get knocked down
He is there to pick us up
When we are getting laughed at
He is there to shut them up
When we need advice
He is there to give it in a slient ‘prrr’
When our hearts are broken
He is there to put them back together
When we have wishes
He is there to believe in them
When we have something to say
He is there to listen
When we have a problem
He is there to fix it
When we are confused
He is there to set us straight
When we need someone to stand behind us
He is there to stand with us (no matter what)
When we need comfort
He is there waiting with open paws to snuggle
When we want to run away
He is there to jump on our laps and tell us everything will be ok
When we are heading for breakdowns
He is there to renew our strength
When we can’t get to sleep
we think of him
When we need him
He is there
When we don’t know we need him
He is there
He is . . . . Little Joe
and we love him and miss him
and we shall never forget him

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When our beloved pets die, they journey to this idyllic spot. There are meadows and hills enough for all to frolic freely, and plenty of food, water and sunshine. Each and every animal is warm and comfortable.

Those pets that have been ill or aged are restored to health and vigor. Those who are hurt or maimed are made whole and strong. Each is just as we remember in our dreams of days and times gone by. Our pets are happy and content at Rainbow Bridge, except for one small thing. Every creature misses someone special, whom they’ve left behind.

The animals all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops, and looks into the distance. Bright eyes are intent; an eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly, running from the group, flying over the green grass, legs are going faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and you and your special friend come together in joyous reunion. Happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head; and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart. Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together. Author Unknown
