Lizzy was a wonderful part of our family for 12years. She was a pound puppy, when I saw her the first time she was with her littermates, the entire litter was turned over to the pound at 10 weeks old, 7 black and white puppies,Lizzy was the first one to come to me and she was the only one with an all black face. I took her home that day. She was the sweetest most even tempered dog I have ever owned. She just loved everyone and let them know it with a squeal when she saw them. She grew up with another puppy we adopted a female Aussie named Kate, they were the best of friends for 11yrs when tragedy struck our sweet Kate, we lost her to cancer, Lizzy grieved so much for her, she was never the same after that. It was like she lost the will to go on. Her age was creeping up on her also, she was 12yrs old when we finally had to have her put down. I lay on the floor with her till the medication took effect, she just slept away peacefully. Lizzy had lost her best friend Kate, a mother figure and teacher Mandy, and her littermate and neighbor Ebony, in her short life. They would all play together in the back yard, we called it “Puppy Play Group” Well now the puppy play group is complete.
We will forever miss her face, that lovely long black nose in the morning telling us it’s time to go out.
Now your free to play all day if you want.
You all wait for me by the Rainbow Bridge, I’ll be there soon, I’ll bring cookies.
Missing you now and forever,
