MACGUYVER – A TRUE GENTLEMAN
You came to me in February 2004, along with your 3 feline companions. My dream to own a Labbie – I loved you from the start, the sweetest, lovable boy, so gentle and loyal. You used to look for your “thing” (toy) and the way you used to take my hand gently in your mouth and take me for “walks”.
In October your health declined, we thought you were going to leave us, but your inner strength to fight took hold and you surprised the vets and us. I had my boy for another 2 months, but your body got tired and you had to leave. The look in your eyes the morning of December 16, telling me you were ready to go and not to cry, you even licked my face. I held you close as you went to sleep peacefully, whispering in your ears that you were my special man and I loved you lots and would never forget you.
In the short time I had you, only 10 months but it felt like a lifetime – you gave all your heart and love. I miss you Maccie but know you are watching over us – your cats miss you to.
Sleep peacefully my gentle boy and we will meet again.
