Mega,
From the first day you came into our lives, until the day you left, you were a loving, and faithful friend. You came to me when the kids were little…stayed with me while they grew up…and kept me company after they left home to begin their own lives. You moved cross country with me…several times.
I could always count on you to greet me when I came through the door, even when your hips were aching. You made me smile when you pranced around…when you “talked” while someone scratched behing your ears, and finally, when your alzheimers got worse, and your sole purpose in life was to remove the floor vents, I laughed at the expression on your face when you found them back in the floor where they belonged.
I still hear you around the house…I still look to make sure you’re not lying behind my chair…I still expect to see you when I come out in the morning. You will be forever in my heart.
You are missed
