Beagle Mix

About two years after picking up two strays John & James

(that’s another story) I as a child of 8 years wanted a Dalmatian puppy

(after seeing 101 Dalmatians).I didn’t go through the usual pleas but

read dog training books instead.

Mom said I could have a small dog for 2 reasons:

1: Because she had one growing up (its name was Fifi and it was

a free toy/mini poodle cross but that’s still another story!)

2: We already have 2 big dogs. So,on one of our puppy searches

I saw Megan,Samantha (Meg’s sister) & Casey (Meg’s mom).

I knew I wanted Megan so,the next day we got her.

They thought my 4 month old puppy wouldn’t get very big,

but she did. Anyway Megan scratched alot and I mean alot!

Mom called her “the scratchingest dog I ever met!”.

When she went to the vet to get spayed we found out she

had noncontagious mange and needed $40 baths

(Mom called her “a $500 free dog”) .

Other things she lived through were:an abscess (on her head),

venomous snake bite and getting hit by a car.

The evening Megan got hit I thought she was going to die.

But I slept with her and in the morning she was limping and had

some boo-boos but was fine and didn’t even have to go to the vet.

But on Dec.12,99 she ran off and never came back.

So my 1st puppy and I have been through alot together and I will

always miss her.
