"Minerva" 1979 ----- 1992

I worked at an animal hospital
when I first met Minerva.
She was already 10 years old
but so unusual
that I fell in love with her instantly,
She was just so special.
An apple head Siamese with a curly tail
she was so beautiful and we just connected
like no other animal I have ever met.
She boarded at the hospital a lot and I got to know her well.
It came as a real surprise to me one day
when her owners had to give her up
due to allergies in the family and they requested
for me to take her!
I was sad for them but thrilled for me!
I could not believe she would be my cat!!!
She gave me 7 wonderful years of her life.
She became my companion and dearest friend
it would not even be appropriate to call her my pet
she was truly a gift and an angel to me.
It has been about 10 years
since she died in my arms and I still get teary eyed
when I think about that day.
It was such a special thing she did
to breathe her last with me.
I will never forget her.
She taught me so much about love and
it has spilled over into my life
with all of my other cats.
She will always be my angel....
I love you Minerva and I can never forget you.
I am so thankful God gave us our time together!!!!
I know you are happy
at the Rainbow Bridge and can't
wait to see you again..
I will keep your memory alive by loving as many cats
as I can in this life time!!!
