MISC by Jerry and Trudy / Daddy, Mommy, Rainey, and Cruiser

Our precious boy, Misc,

How we miss you so very much. You were our jungle cat. From the moment, your dad saw you stalking a tractor as a tiny kitten, he knew we had to have you.

We kept you inside for your first year. It just wasn’t you. You tried hard to pretend it was. Always, knocking over my artificial plants, and hiding in them; jumping out at us or Cruiser or Rainey. Getting on the kitchen or dining room tables, as you walked around the vase with foliage hanging from them; biting at the leaves. What thoughts of the jungle were going through your mind!!

You got your wish Misc. Six months after we bought our home with ten acres and a creek running through and around it, we tried letting you and your big brother, Cruiser, out on a harness. You weren’t buying it. If we were keeping you on the leash, you were going to be dragged!!!!

So, little by little, we let you two boys out with supervison. Of course, if we left for a few hours and at night, you always had to come in. Soon, you came in and out as you wanted, except you always had to be in at dusk. Cruiser spent most of his time inside, but you, Misc, stayed outside in the jungle. You loved the creek bed with all the greenery. We never knew where you were, but if we went outside, here you would come from nowhere to join us. We loved walking around the pond; dad, mom, Rainey, your dog sister, Cruiser, and you. It was a daily trip.

Then the unthinkable happened. You didn’t come in one night. Oh, Misc, where were you? We searched and searched night and day. We put ads in the paper; scoured the neighborhood. Then a few days later, Rainey led dad to where you lay. Way in the back behind the pond, in the wooded area, down in the creek bed where a snake had bit you close to your heart. We know you felt no pain.
That is some comfort.

We had you cremated and you are home now Misc. You are on the dining room table where you loved to be.

You will always be in our hearts. You gave us so much love; so very much in two short years.

Thank you Misc for the special bond we had with you. You are our precious furbaby. We will hold you again, our son.

We love you sweet boy always and forever,
MISC
