My Ratty,

I miss you so very dearly. I’ve wanted a Rat for so long, and when I saw your Mother give birth to you, I knew you were the one. Your pink fur-less skin and the sealed bubbles for eyes. I watched you squirm around until you found her warmth. I watched you grow and saw your eyes open to see the world around you for the first time. I held you and loved you as you loved me back. When I found you lifeless in your cage, my heart shattered. I tried to revive you with no luck. I will forever hold you close in my heart and will never let go.
