Mittens was born to a stray cat that we cared for. He was the runt of the litter, and no one expected him to live. But, he did…he weaned, he grew, he flourished, and up until the day he left this earth, was an inspiration and loving friend to all. He became a very important part of our family, especially to Chris (who helped deliver him), Alissa (he slept with her every night), and to Lizzy (the family dog).
Mittens lived a healthy, happy life until about 2 weeks ago when he contracted FIP. Mittens, even though so sick, didn’t give up and fought the disease all the way to his last breath.
He is buried just a few feet from our beloved dog Coco. Mittens, you are my hero. You never gave up! You may be gone, but daddy will never forget you, nor will any of us…Sonya, Chris, Alissa, Becky, Lizzy, Millie or Frosty.
We love you and always will.
We look forward to seeing you in heaven…
when we will never,
ever have to say goodbye again.
