Mitty by Steven & Lynn Boutilier / Mama, Papa and Smokey

We brought Mitty into our lives at 5 wks old. He gave us 14 years of love and joy. He was silly, loving, adventurous and caring. He took care of us every day. Meeting us at the door, sharing treats, watching TV and cuddling with us to sing us to sleep each night.

He investigated everything, missed nothing and lived life to its fullest. He was a wonderful big brother and best friend. He has left a hole in our lives that can never be filled. He was beautiful, smart and unique in so many ways.

He was loved by everyone who knew him. He greeted everyone that came to visit and made each feel special. He gave more love than we ever thought possible. A year ago his little body started to fail and he fought the kidney disease valiantly. He never gave into it, always singing and happy, sharing every moment he could with us.

When he finally got too tired, he curled up in his Papa’s things and waited quietly. His brother curled around him for several days. Although it broke our hearts, we knew we had to help, and gently sent him on to Rainbow Bridge to wait for us. We can’t wait to see you again, Mitty. You are so loved.

In our hearts forever,
Mitty
