Mocha by Mike, Candace & Dusty / Your family

On a vacation one summer we saw a chocolate lab at our camp ground. There were many other dogs there, but something about that dog said to us, that is the kind of dog we want someday.

We were so ready for you when you came into our lives. We had been waiting a long time. It was like bringing a baby home. Your name had already been chosen. We could not get enough of you. We decided because I was taking the summer off from work it would be the perfect time to bring our 8wk old baby home.

You were so easy to train, so very smart, and we loved you so much. You were completely housebroke at 11wks old. We remember; Teaching you, you running circles around the tree in the back yard with all your pent up energy; how you slept with us as a baby, under our bed when you got a little too big for the bed, and then always beside the bed, every night; how much Grandma and papa loved you, how they babysat you even on days we just had to work.

When your human brother went to grandmas, so did you; how you loved to swim, in lakes, rivers, ponds, swimming pools. You didn’t care to swim in the ocean though; how beautiful you were, strangers would stop and comment; how you loved baths. sometimes we would just put you in the tub with your toys and you would splash and have so much fun,it was so funny; how you loved car rides.
You were the best dog ever and you deserved humans that could afford to keep you healthy.

I am so sorry you were born with such bad allergies, and so sorry you couldn’t have stayed with us longer and that you had to suffer too long because we couldn’t bare to let you go. We pray that God is rewarding you. That you are happy and healthy again. Your spirit will always be with us. We were so fortunate to have been blessed by having you in our lives. We love you,our beautiful baby girl.

With love,
Mocha
