Mozart by Anna L. York

To Mozart,

My Child, my friend, my faithful
and staunch companion,

For eleven years, you brought me
so much happiness and joy.
You brought a smile to my face
when all I wanted was to cry.
You provided comfort and solace
when all I wanted was to hide in a corner.
Your eyes conveyed love,
the thumping of your tail
conveyed happiness at seeing me,
and I always felt loved and
secured as long as you were by my side.

In your fight against cancer,
you taught me fortitude,
strength, and valor.
You taught me to face life’s
incertitude, trials,
and tribulations with grace and dignity
You taught me to enjoy life’s little things,
to take pleasure in long walks and
the beauty that nature affords us.
In you–I learned the true meaning of love—
the love a mother feels for her child.

Wait for me by the Bridge, my baby boy,
until I could look into your
beautiful brown eyes and
you can give me a welcoming kiss.
Until that time comes know
that I carry your memory
in my heart and in my mind and
I long for your sweet presence
every single day.

Your Loving Mommy

With an everlasting love
Mozart
