Mr Fluffy by Neil Hamilton / BARNEY, SCAMPIE, BUSTER AND YOUR OLD DAD

MY DEAREST MR FLUFFY,

YOU HAVE GONE TO REST IN THE GARDEN
WHERE YOU WERE HAPPIEST.
WE ALL MISS YOU SO MUCH AND THINK
OF YOU EVERY HOUR OF THE DAY.
I CAN SEE YOUR NEW RESTING PLACE
FROM THE WINDOW AND KNOW
THAT YOU WERE NEVER HAPPIER
GOING OUT TO ROAM FOR HOURS
EVERY DAY AND THEN IN FOR
SOME FOOD AND LOTS OF LOVE AND CUDDLES
AND A GOOD SLEEP.
BARNEY SITS IN THE GARDEN LOOKING
FOR YOU TO FIGHT WITH.
YOU WERE SO FLUFFY WITH YOUR LOVELY
BLACK AND WHITE COAT AND LOVED
TO RUB YOUR NOSE ON MY CHIN AND
FALL ASLEEP ON ME.
WE MISS YOU SO MUCH,
BUT YOU HELD OUT FOR FOUR YEARS
WITH YOUR HEART PROBLEM BUT STILL
YOU WERE TAKEN AWAY TOO SOON.
YOU WERE ALMOST NINE BUT YOU LIVED LIFE AS IF YOU HAD LIVED FOR A HUNDRED YEARS.
THERE WILL ALWAYS BE AN EMPTY SPACE FOR YOU.
SLEEP WELL, MR FLUFFY, AND LOVE YOU FOREVER.

WITH ALL OUR LOVE,
Mr Fluffy
