THORNHILL MYSTI ROSE
Our white Boxer
Oh Mysti you are no longer here and we miss you so very much. Just wish we could turn the clock back to when you first came into our lives a cute bundle of white fluff. You were such a joy and made us so happy. We laughed at your funny little antics one being running round on the spot trying to catch a tail you never had. It was only a little stump but that wouldn’t put you off. You would still keep trying. You were a loyal and very loving dog and went everywhere with us. If we couldn`t take you with us then we wouldn`t go.
We had the opportunity to visit family in Australia. Of course we couldn’t take you with us so you stayed with relatives in Somerset. You were very happy to go there as there were 2 Border Collies to run and play with in the big grounds at the back of the house. We didn’t know it then but you had a tumour on your liver. Had we known this we would never have left you for that whole month. We would never have left the country. When we got back from our holiday and came to collect you we were so upset to see that you had lost alot of weight and didn’t get to your feet to greet us. Eventually you did get up and wagged your stump but it was a weak attempt. We took you home. You knew you were home but it didn`t seem you were that interested. After 3 days we had to take you to the vet as you weren’t at all well. Blood tests were run which revealed a tumour on your liver. You were very ill indeed and in so much pain that our vet said it would be the kindest thing to have you put to sleep. It was a terribly hard decision to have to make. We stayed with you until your last breath. It was heartbreaking to lose you this way after nearly 14 years together.
Please forgive us Mysti for leaving you to go on that Australian holiday. While we were enjoying ourselves out there you were here in the U.K. suffering. We think about you all the time. Precious memories of you will never fade and die. Ben and Josh our two little grandsons look at our vast collection of photos of you Mysti. They love you very much as do Vicki and Darren. Darren said goodbye to you 15 months ago when he went to Australia to work. He has been back in the UK for a week now and is devastated that you are no longer here.
We all know we will see you again one day when the time is right. Until then enjoy doggy heaven must be such a lovely place where there is no pain and suffering only sunshine and beautiful flowers.
Nite nite sweet dreams
love you so much.
