Dear Nautica,
When I first met you I was just a little girl. We came to Iowa to visit my grandma and cousins, and I heard the story of how you were a gift to my cousin from his girlfriend. I guess he wasnt much of a dog person and the roads were bad, that everyone was afraid you get run over by a car. I remember begging to my mom to let us take you home.
After a few minutes, my mom came out of the door holding you in her hands. You were such a handful! I remember how you would sing whenever I howled. You were very goofy and playful. You loved chasing balls and playing with Lacey. I’m sorry we weren’t that close, but I know my mother loved you very much and was sad when you died.
I hope you are in peace.
Love,
Melissa
