Dog
I still remember the day we adopted you from the SPCA.
They said you were found wandering on the street,
and had been clearly abused.
The man that took you for your daily walks
told us how well behaved you were.
Daddy was looking at a different dog,
all the sudden my eyes caught yours.
I knew then you would be coming home with us.
You were so excited when we put your leash on to take you home.
We took you home and had 7 wonderful years with you.
You had given us so many happy memories.
I still remember when Uncle John taught you all your cool tricks.
We love you so much. Suddenly you became ill.
Daddy and I had to make the most heart-wrenching decision to let you go.
We could not see you suffer or see you unhappy.
It was so painful to let you go.
We stayed with you to the end and
we have your ashes home with us where you would want to be.
Thank you so much for all the happiness and memories
you have given us.Everybody loved you,
and everybody misses you so much especially!
