My darling girl,
How could I have known
that we would have so little time left together?
You were never one to complain about yourself
yet you also knew when I needed you the most.
I want to thank you for all the times
you loved me for just being me.
I pray that you understand that the decision
I made for you was for you.
You have been the only constant in my life for the past 8 years
and now I aimlessly wonder about the house
not knowing what I will ever do without you.
I found a small clump of your hair on the chair
at 2:00 a.m this morning and rubbed it against my cheek.
I want you to come back to me
yet I know this is not possible.
You were the BEST dog anyone could ever have asked for and
you added to my life in so many ways.
Always know that I love you and some day
we will meet again;
I will never let you go.
