November 1, 1996 to December 15, 2012
You told us it was time and
you had given life your best.
We saw your eyes, we heard your plea,
that it was time to rest.
We did what was asked of us,
that look was in your eye.
You told us you were tired,
it was your time to fly.
Sixteen joyous years we shared,
together, side by side.
The bravest girl we’ll ever know,
you filled our hearts with pride.
You blessed our lives with
loyalty, devotion and love.
Our precious guardian angel,
you were sent from up above.
Of superior intelligence,
strong in stature, will and mind.
High energy and power,
yet gentle, sweet and kind.
Our Hero, Best Friend, and Baby Girl,
you’ll always be.
Your love remains within our hearts,
although we set you free.
For all you gave and taught us,
how can one repay?
Rest gently, our sweet Nip,
we’ll miss you more than words can say.
Beauty, grace and pride shined bright
upon your face.
With dignity you left this earth,
no one will take your place.
