It is again with a heavy heart that I compose this tribute for my “last girl.” My dear little Penny has now joined her “sisters”, Daisy and Molly, at the Rainbow Bridge. Penny brightened our lives and warmed our hearts for over 21 years. The oldest of the three, she was with us the longest. I remember the day we went to get her. She was sitting in a Tupperware bowl, peering over the edge- so little, but full of spunk! Her name was Bandit and we quickly renamed her Penny. She was a beautiful calico, fiercely independent, but craved our affection in her own way. She was greatly loved by all of us and we miss her so very much. Take care, my little calico girl, we will be together again, of that I am very sure. I know that you are happy and healthy and very content being with your sisters again.
