Dear Peter,
I know that you are gone and now in Heaven, but couldn’t you have stayed for just a little while longer?
Your fuzzy face and sweet little eyes are no more
Couldn’t you have stayed for just a little while longer?
The Lord called and you answered to go play in Heaven and to be your sweet little self for all eternity
But couldn’t you have stayed for just a little while longer?
You warmed my heart everyday that I knew you and I will long to stroke your fur and tap your little nose. Never again will there be another you.
I just wish you could have stayed for just a little while longer.
I can’t wait until we meet again in Heaven, I know you will wait for me. Just to give me a little bunny hop and a little wiggle of that sweet little nose.
Why Peter, couldn’t you have stayed just a little while longer.
The emptiness and heaviness of my heart will soon give way to sweet memories of you. But nothing will ever replace you. We will always love you Peter.
