I adopted Princess from a shelter in 2006. She had been there nearly two years after being abandoned outside as a kitten. She had very badly damaged lungs but managed to have one good year with me of breathing very well. She worsened the next year and finally succumbed to pneumonia on June 29, 2008. Throughout her ordeal, she remained sweet and gentle. All who knew her loved her. She can never be replaced. I will forever ache to be again in her presence.
