Black Sable Ferret

The day I met Prissy I had gone to an unfamiliar pet store to buy some ferret

food for our other ferret (Scarlet). Prissy was in a cage all alone

and she was not pretty. In fact she was rather unhealthy.

I wanted to see her anyway so I asked to get her out.

I got her out and she immediately started kissing my face.

She was so sweet. I put her back in her cage and she looked at me with t

he sweetest eyes…I had to get her out again. I couldn’t put her back.

I asked the store clerk some information about Prissy,

but they didn’t know anything other than she was a year old

(this was very strange to me so I definitely was not going to leave her).

Within a months time with proper food and lots of love and attention and

exercise Prissy became absolutely beautiful.

Her coat became shinny her eyes too.

She soon had enough strength to climb (like Scarlet).

She and Scarlet soon became extremely close.

Prissy loved to be with me. Scarlet was always a daddy’s girl and

Prissy just attached herself to me and I to her.

In the mornings she would play on my bed while I made it (I called it helping me

but actually she made it fun). She loved having a snack so she would

always run to the kitchen to the corner where I kept her snacks.

I would get them and then she would race me to the living room

where I would give Prissy her snack.

She loved to eat. We laughed about that a lot.

Prissy was even good about taking a bath. She did not fight me but

would just lay in my hand as I bathed her (unlike her sister Scarlet).

She didn’t particularly care to have a bath but she would be good for me

and make it easy on me. Prissy soon learned that Scarlet was the boss,

and she played all the games that Scarlet wanted.

Prissy was a sweetheart!
