Dear Raine,
It’s almost been a year since your death and I miss you greatly. I never thought a fish would make a great pet, but you proved us wrong. You were special and unlike any fish I ever net before. You lived for so long and what amazed me so much about you, was your love for life. You fought to stay alive until the very end. You never gave up and although you may of been a simple creature, you were much more than that to us. You knew we loved you, and I felt your love in return. You had such a beautiful spirit and I would sing to you your song every day, and you would blow bubbles at us in response.
Your death was very difficult for me, not just because I loved you so much, but because you died near my birthday. I don’t blame you for that, and I want you to know that I may own other fish in the future, but I’ll never meet a fish as special as you. I’ll also never throw away your tank, that’s all I have left of you besides some photographs.
Casey loves you so much and if it wasnt for him wanting a fish so much, I would of never of met you. You have touched my life forever and I have so much respect for you and other animals. You were like my child. Remember how much I love you. You are my baby boy.
