First of all when you came into our life, you were the biggest puppy I ever saw. A little clumsy at times, so happy full of energy, you Rascal have always been there for me, in my darkest hours, I was never alone with you by my side. As you grew you learned so fast, even though he was big of 120 lbs, he was my house dog. He only messed on the floor once, that’s how fast he learned, he was potty trained in a couple of day. Rascal loved to go for rides all you would have to say is do you want to go for a ride, he always had to be first out the door. When out hiking Rascal loved everyone so, he would run back and forth to each person in our group making sure everyone was accounted for.
I was always afraid to go hiking alone but with my companion RASCAL, I was never alone, what will I do without you, he played with our ferrets and the cats to, our big cat Angel would lay between his paws and they would sleep together every night. Our three ferrets would chase Rascal around the yard, he would jump at them and they would jump back, so big but tender, gentle and a heart of gold. Oh my Rascal where did you go. I always kept him fenced in, he got out this day through a whole I did not see, I went to see if he was in the back, he was standing by the gate, I believe saying mom I am hurt please let me back in, I should have never wandered, I know now why you kept me in. My Rascal laying in my arms, breathing rapidly,in pain, I don’t know what happened to him, but I blamed myself for not seeing that hole, I tried to protect
you me Dear bestfriend.
I held you so close in my arms as your breathing stopped, your body fell limp,Oh Please don’t go, as if he heard me he gasped for another breath, What will I do without you when I am alone, My tears ran like a river, he was part of me, Oh my Rascal who has hurt you, Now I am broken hearted nothing can fill the emptiness that only my Rascal could fill. I will miss you and keep you close, you were my bestfriend, and will remain in my heart forever more. In Memory of the Biggest Golden Retriever,: My HIKING BUDDY FOREVER MORE” RASCAL”
