My Sweet Rascal Kitty….
For 20 years you brought us joy, made us smile and stayed by our side. I can still hear your “meow”, and content purring. I remember the feel of your tender paw as you tapped it against me to get my attention. I see you everywhere. When the sun is shining through a window, I see you laying in it’s warm rays. As you know, our decision was hard, many tears were shed and there is a empty space in our hearts. But you were so sick my sweet baby and though you didn’t want to leave us, we had to let you go for it hurt too much to watch your once 25 pound body become so weak and frail.
We will remember the 20 years we had together with smiles through tears, for you brought such love and happiness to our lives, and for that I Thank You. You were truly an amazing animal and we will miss you terribly. Wait for me at Rainbow Bridge.
Eat all the cantaloupe melon and sweet green peas your heart desires, and when the day comes that we meet again, together we’ll cuddle. I’ll lift you up and hold you close, I’ll scratch your head, and hear you purr and together we’ll cross the bridge never to be apart again.
