Boxer
I fell in love with the chubby puppy
with the gorgeous coloring 1/5/90.
You grew into a magnificent boy-outside and in.
I am so glad we got to spend so much time together-long runs
trips to the lake or beach and lots of ball playing.
People were always running up to us
asking where I got such a handsome boy
yet you knew just when to be nice and when to be a good protector.
You had so many medical problems
yet you were such a good trooper.
You even seemed grateful for being cared for
even if a needle or something hurt.
We moved you to a big house with a big yard
with lots of fresh cool air.
I learned new things to improve your health
including special food and supplements.
I found a good vet whom you loved.
You thrived like you never did before.
I got to spend lots of time with you these last 3 years
and gave you many thousands of kisses and hugs.
And as usual you gave me your unconditional
no-holds-barred happy Boxer love.
I know you are in Heaven with Grandpa-
God has given me signs and I feel your presence everywhere.
And You'll Be In My Heart-always.
