Roxie by Tammy, Dan, Megan and Michelle / Mommy

I lost my best buddy this week. I got Roxie 9 years ago this month and she was taken from me to soon. Our theory is that Roxie was killed by a large alligator. And to you Roxie, I’m sorry. I’m sorry that I didn’t get to say good-bye, I’m sorry I wasn’t there to protect and save you and I’m sorry you had to go through what happened. I wake up wishing you were next to me like you always were. I get M&M off to school and miss you being next to me when the school bus leaves. I miss you following me around all day as I do the housework and miss you in the van when I do errands. I miss throwing the ball to you, taking you for walks and giving you treats all day. You were taken away from our family too soon. We weren’t ready for you to leave us.

I keep crying and the pain doesn’t go away. You were a gift and you will always have a special place in my heart. I will never forget your beautiful brown eyes, your floppy ears when you looked and me and ran after the ball. Roxie, we all love you and miss you more than you know. Megan and Michelle miss their buddy. Daddy miss laying next to you watching tv.
