Rudy by Mary / Mary

Even though you were with me for only 2 months, you made a huge impact. I knew Hawk was getting older and sicker at a rapid pace and thought I would start looking for a companion for Olive so we wouldn’t be so lonely when Hawk passed over the Rainbow Bridge to be
with Tasha and Smokey.

You were the first cat I had looked at during what I thought would be a long quest for a new family member. I just had to have you despite an atmosphere that I normally would have abandoned; there were forces driving me to take you home from the “pet adoption” that day. You were an amazing cat probably not even a year old.

I named you after Rudolph Valentiono because you were “such a lover boy” and so handsome too. Here was a cat that loved to be petted as I fell asleep and would place his paw in my tired hand as I fell asleep every night. You had such a sassy but lovable personality. All who met you fell in love. You only lived a month after Hawk died, despite all the care two Veterinarian clinics and I could give because you had the dreaded FIP disease and there was no cure only certain death. So I had to say goodbye to my sweet Rudy forever; who may have been here only to hold my hand as a bridge from Hawk’s passing.

With Love,
Rudy
