Rusty by Richard Ellett / Rusty’s dad

My best friend:

The days go by one by one since the day you left; the pain and guilt I feel is still strong, but sometimes when I am alone, I think of the days that we played together; sat on the back porch and talked to you and I smile, but the pain comes back the smiles turn to tears and I wish for those days again, but I know they are gone for now; But I will never forget them being with my best friend and hoping someday to see you again; smiling face, wagging tail, trusting eyes and a paw for me as if to say don’t worry it will be all right and always knowing that someday we will be together again never to be parted from my best friend.

Daddy loves you,
Rusty
