Sam was a remarkable dog. He had a goal in life to make a friend with every person he ever encountered. He succeeded. Sam loved to be in the company of people and he knew laps were made just for him. Once he was in place on a lap Sam would take his head and nuzzle next to you and that brought a tremendous sense of contentment for Sam and the person on the receiving end.
Sam also had the ability to tell if you were having a bad day, or facing problems. On those occasions he brought an extra serving of attention and comfort melting away all the issues.
Although Sam was a rescue dog, he found a wonderful home where he was loved, well cared for, and quickly became a member of the family, both his immediate family and the extended family of those lucky enough to meet him. He brought a level of kindness into everyone’s heart and Sam made the harsh world a much better place by his demeanor and existence.
Sam left us on June 15, 2016. Although gone, he has a special place in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. Sam was that special.
Sam was loved by all that knew him.
