Daddy’s Samanthie Girl (real name was Samantha) lived with us for 16 years. She came to us as a tiny wisp of 6 wk old black fur crawled into our hearts and stayed there. She was such a good girl and behaved wonderfully her whole life. She was fun to watch play with her toy mice and her big brother Taffer Boy. When we all lost Taffer Boy at the age of 16 she needed more family and we took in Tabitha and then Maurice. Samanthie was top kitty and everyone knew it. She was strong & healthy her whole life then suddenly one night we almost lost her. We had 6 weeks of long talks and tears helping her eat and caressing her soft fur. She hung on long enough for us to get used to the idea she couldn’t stay forever. We hated to lose her. It hurt so much. But our brave girl looked into our eyes and told us she would be waiting for us with Taffer Boy. She left us that Sunday morning peacefully and bravely. And 3 days later another black kitty starved to within hours of dying was placed before Daddy. This kitty looked so much like Samantha it was remarkable. We think Samanthie helped him find his way to a good home and lots of love. His name is Shadow and we all know he has his very own angel named Samanthie Girl.
