TRIBUTE TO SAMBO WHO FOREVER TOUCHED OUR SOULS:

The pain of losing you is so strong and goes so deep that it will never truly heal.

You were a very special creature and meant so much to everyone who was

lucky enough to ever spend time with you. To say that you were more than a dog is

such a weak and feeble attempt to begin to describe you.

You were more than a person more than a friend more than a protector

and much much more than anyone could possibly imagine if they never knew you.

Because of you we will never look at dogs the same we'll always pay attention

to them and eagerly hope to find a little part of you in them.

You gave all of your being to everything and every one you came in contact with.

No king was ever more proud of his kingdom nor more eager to protect it than

you were your world. Your pride and valor showed so beautifully every time one

of us came to the door or the yard. Head held high and heart bursting with

impatience to be every thing in your power for us to show us what you'd seen

or that you had chased the baddies away you fairly flew around the yard.

Ever alert and ready to move to stand between us and what you perceived as danger,

your faithfulness was something that we could count on unfailingly.

I hope I never forget your being with me at night and how you always made sure

that you were touching my feet or legs before you went to sleep.

At the slightest sound you'd raise your faithful head to make sure everything was okay,

then snuggle back down and sometimes even snore.

Always before morning you somehow made sure that you were snuggled up

against my back. I always got awakened by a reassuring lashing from your joyfully

wagging tail when either Greg or Bud came home.

I miss you 'Bo and will forever thank you for the peace of mind you gave me and

the pleasure you were to have around but most of all for giving this world all the

gusto you had in that big heart.

Remembering your dancing turning around in a circle grinning and

burying your bone all around the house will always bring a bitter sweet smile

to my eyes and just one more time I wish I could walk out the back door and

see you dash toward the last thing you had seen that you had chased away;

rat squirrel etc.;and have you kick sand all over my clothes in the basket while

you showed the world that this was your domain.

You died with your heart and being operating at the top of their power being the

best dog you knew how to be.

We all learned so much from you you gave such joy and pleasure.

You'll always live in our hearts and we will ever say "Now that was really a dog!!!!"

Thank you Sambo,we'll try to follow your example and

live in a way that would make you proud.

Happy trails to you our beloved pal!
