Santa Barbara Paws was born on April 11th, 1990. She was the runt of the litter. I was only 5 when I got her, but we became best friends instantly. She was very smart for a cat. She knew how to play catch,
hide ‘n’ seek and many other games.
My Paws was white with gray spots. She had one green eye and one orange one. They both had red flecks in them and they reminded me of stars in the galaxy.
Paws got sick in late September. The vet tried to help her, but with no luck. I came home from school on October 11th and my dad told me to say bye to Paws cuz he was going to take her to the vet. I went in the living room and I petted her, but she didn’t move. My little girl was gone.
We buried her in the back yard in the garden. The next day, I went to work and my dad and mom came in to see me. My dad had his coat zipped up and when he opened it,
a little face popped out and looked at me.
I named my new kitten Galaxie, after Paws’s eyes. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of my Paws, and I dream of her every night. I love you Paws, I’ll see you soon.
