SCARTCHY WAKE
You were the best cat I’ve ever known, you didn’t have a bad bone in you’re whole body. I found you when you were small living under our shed. I let you in my house and fed you, you were so happy, you rolled on the carpet in delight.
We lived there for a couple of years and then we both moved to live with my partner many miles away. We got a dog called snoopy and you loved each other very much. But Snoopy died and we al felt it very hard. So we got another dog, from a rescue centre called Toby.
He was brilliant with you scratchy, he never bothered you, but he used to bite people everywhere we went. So we had to take him back and we got Daisy. And she didn’t like you did she scrtchy, in fact, she’s killed you today in our back garden.
I don’t think I’ll ever be able to forgive myself scratchy, I loved you so much, please please please forgive me, I never meant to bring any pain on you, you didn’t deserve that.
I can’t believe you’re gone. I’m hurting so much.
